What is the best way to cook corn on the cob on the barbeque grill?

With the husks..without, how long..etc???

I have a charcoal grill and it also can be covered with a domed lid. What is the best way to cook corn on the cob on the barbeque grill?
We clean the silk, soak the corn for about 15 minutes in a big crab pot filled with cold water, and remove a few of the extra leaves of the husks from each.

Make sure you shake all the excess water from the corn, and spray or brush the kernels with olive oil - NOT BUTTER (you can butter it before eating).

Season it with some garlic, black pepper, salt, etc. if you want as well, then wrap the husks back around the kernels and tie into place with one of the extra husk pieces (that's what we save them for) or kitchen twine.

Put the corn on the grill and turn them a few times so the outsides don't get charred too much on any one side, then move them to where they're away from direct heat, close the cover of the grill and let them cook for about 15 minutes. What is the best way to cook corn on the cob on the barbeque grill?
6 ears fresh corn, silks removed, husks left on, soaked in cold water for 5 minutes

2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature

2 to 4 chipotle chiles in adobo, pureed, 2 tablespoons total

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1/4 cup freshly chopped cilantro leaves, plus more for garnish

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Honey, to taste

Special equipment: 6-inch wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Heat grill over high heat.

Place the corn on the grill, close the cover and grill for 15 to 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes, or until kernels are tender. Remove from the grill, let cool slightly, remove husks and cut into 1-inch rounds.

Combine the butter, chipotle, garlic, cilantro, salt, pepper and honey in a food processor until smooth.

Skewer the corn onto 1 skewer (so the corn lays flat), and season with salt and pepper. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side until slightly charred. Remove and immediately brush with the butter and garnish with chopped cilantro.
Onion Buttered Corn

1/2 cup Lipton庐 Onion Butter

8 ears corn

Place each ear of corn on large square of heavy-duty foil; spread with Onion Butter. Wrap, twisting ends; roast over hot coals about 25 minutes, turning frequently.

Lipton庐 Onion Butter

Blend 1 envelope Lipton庐 Onion Soup Mix thoroughly with 1 (8 ounce) container whipped butter or soft margarine, or 1/2 pound butter or margarine. Store covered in refrigerator.

Makes about 1 1/4 cups.

Roasted Corn on a Stick

8 ears sweet corn

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

Soak 24 long bamboo skewers in water so they don't char on the grill.

Shuck corn well, removing all silk. Cut each ear into 3 pieces.

Stir sugar into a large pot of salted boiling water. Add corn and cook until just tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold running water. Spear each piece of corn onto the end of a skewer.

When ready to grill corn, mix together mayonnaise, Parmesan and Tabasco. Brush evenly over each piece. Grill or broil corn, turning often, until lightly browned, 3 to 5 minutes.

Serve hot.

Spicy Grilled Corn

For all you people who cook on the grill...try this one:

4 ears corn, husked

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

2 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix *

If you aren't much into taco seasoning, try lemon pepper instead, it's great too.

Mix butter and taco seasoning mix and spread over corn. Put ears of corn on a square of foil, double thickness, big enough to cover the corn. Before wrapping, sprinkle corn with water. Close foil over corn and twist the ends. Grill uncovered 20 to 30 minutes until tender.

It's a zesty change, even the kiddos like this one!
I clean corn well, wrap in foil with salt, pepper and butter...sometimes a pinch of dried oregano and parm. cheese. Place on grill top, coller area, turn often, about 15 - 20 mins.
We saw this on the Food Network and tried it. It was really good. I didn't do the sauce, just the method.
Pull the husks down and remove the silk; then pull the husks back over the corn and soak in water for about 1/2 hr....just stick them on the grill.....
Just throw tho corn on, husks and all. The outside ought to look charred.
